I just got a call from the hospital that we need to be there at 8:30am, which means leaving the house no later that 6:45, which means getting up at 5:30 or so. Yuck! No matter that I was up at 4:45am today to go to work, getting up early never gets easier! You'd think it was me having the surgery. At least it means I might be able to get home before dark because they are calling for a big drop in temps and a little snow.

I hope all went well with the operation. I look forward to hearing all about it. I hope you took some stitching along to keep you occupied!
Best wishes for a fast and uneventful recovery
I hope your DH is doing well! I have a friend who got a hip replacement and it literally changed his life! He loved it. Thx for commenting on my blog-RE; the technique--I make a backstitch using two floss threads all around the stitched piece, and do the same on a duplicate (for the back). I do this about 4 squares away on all sides. Then you place your hanger by sandwiching it between the two pieces while they are wrong sides out--I stitch it in place then flip it over so right sides are out. Then you match up your backstitches and whip them together! I did the beading every other stitch. Please let me know if you have questions. I had a hard time nailing down this technique, so I'm happy to pass along what I worked hard to find out!
